Rich Kocis is the owner of Peace Of Art Tattoo in Oak Forest, IL.  Being an artist for most of his life...Rich was drawn into the tattoo industry shortly after getting his first tattoo at the age of 18.  By his second tattoo he was drawing up tattoo designs, collecting tattoo magazines...he was  hooked on the art...After a short period time of hanging out at a local tattoo studio Rich was asked if he would like to learn the art of tattooing...

It took some convincing...the studio was expanding and needed more artists...he couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Learning the technical aspects of needle making and machine tuning was just the beginning...apprenticeship in the trade went well and Rich would tattoo for the next 9 years at Prairie Tattoo in Chicago Heights, IL.

  Life changed for Rich five years into his time a Prairie Tattoo...marriage to his beautiful wife, Bridget, and the birth of their first daughter...change was in the air...the greatest change however was that of a saving faith in Jesus Christ. This "change" led to Rich advertising and using the name Peace Of Art Tattoo and ultimately to his leaving Prairie to open Peace Of Art...10 years of POA in Chicago Heights...and time for another change... Peace Of Art has moved to Oak Forest, IL.

     Rich has also expanded his art mediums by adding painting and stained glass...thus making POA an art studio...

Rich and Bridget as well as their four children share the love of art...and look forward to serving their home community of Oak Forest...
